TOTA: Tribes of the Aftermath
Tribes of the Aftermath, or TOTA is an nft project that was initially conceived of by me. Shane Cultra brought together the other members of team which includes Rachel Melton & Sophie Pochtler. Together the team took my rough idea and we developed it into what you see today.
The task we ended up setting for ourselves was a daunting one. Develop eight distinct characters as totems for the different tribes in the world we were building and turn them into nft's with traits that were distinct enough to make them individual and similar enough for the nft collector. I used all the tricks I've learned over the past decade to develop these characters!
The attached photos are from the development phase of the project. The typical nft square shape was added at the very end to avoid cropping of essential visual material.
Many of the traits that I used were 3D in origin. Some of the brilliant free 3D products from Sketchfab are credited below. Any omissions are completely the fault of the artist.
